The yellow card for travel is the second most important item in the pre-departure check-list right after the passport. This further begs the question ‘How many countries do I need a yellow card to visit? and ‘To whom is a yellow fever card issued?’
Our article today answers these questions and also list countries that require a yellow card from citizen or traveler from countries with cases of yellow fever.
The yellow card is endorsed by the World Health Organization (WHO). It is then issued and stamped by various country’s health authorities.
Did you know the Yellow fever vaccination is carried out for two different purposes?
- To prevent the international spread of the disease by protecting countries from the risk of importing or spreading the yellow fever virus
- To protect individual travelers who may be exposed to yellow fever infection.
Are there penalties for not having a yellow card or having an expired yellow card?
The penalty varies for different countries, in mild cases, travelers are quarantined for a period of time and in extreme cases, travelers may face deportation.
In India, anyone (except infants up to the age of 6 months) arriving by air or sea without a yellow fever vaccination certificate is detained in isolation for up to six days if that person
(i) Arrives from an area with risk of yellow fever transmission
(ii) Has been in such an area in transit or
(iii) Arrives on a ship that started from or touched at any port area with risk of yellow fever transmission up to 30 days before its arrival in India.

To the travelotus.com admin, You always provide useful tips and best practices.
I believe what you typed made a bunch of sense. However, think
on this, suppose you were to create a killer headline?
I ain’t saying your content is not good, but what
if you added a headline to possibly grab a person’s attention? I mean 100 PLUS COUNTRIES THAT REQUIRE A YELLOW CARD FOR INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL – Travelotus is a little vanilla.
You should look at Yahoo’s home page and see how they create news titles to get viewers interested.
You might add a related video or a related pic or two to grab readers
excited about what you’ve got to say. Just my opinion,
it would make your posts a little bit more
interesting.

Today, I went to the beach with my kids. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter
and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She placed the shell to
her ear and screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched
her ear. She never wants to go back! LoL I know this
is completely off topic but I had to tell someone!
